Tryouts for 2015 Nashville Catholic

The team is comprised of 7th and 8th grade students who attend a Diocese of Nashville parochial school or who are registered participants of a Diocese of Nashville religious education program. The Nashville Catholic Softball team is not otherwise affiliated with the Diocese of Nashville or any of its schools, including Father Ryan High School and Pope John Paul II High School.

The Nashville Catholic Softball Team offers a program to help

participants prepare for high school softball. The team will typically practice once or twice a week at Father Ryan, and will play other local middle school teams.

Tryouts will be on November 9th starting at 1:30pm at Father Ryan’s softball field.  The length of the tryout will be determined by the number of participants.

Tryouts for Nashville Catholic Softball 2014

Thank you for showing interest in the Nashville Catholic Softball team. Due to parochial basketball there has been a change in tryouts.  Tryouts will now be Sunday February 9th from 11:00-12:00.

You will have to sign up for tryouts so please check the website again in the next few days for that information.

For now I will give you some basic information.

1. This year we are opening it up to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.

2.  Our season lasts from February to the 1st week of May.

3. We will play local middle school teams.

4.  We typically practice once a week (for about 1.5-2 hrs), and have a game or two a week.

5.  There will be a fee (approx. 150.00) to pay for umpire fees, insurance, balls, etc.

Tryouts Canceled

Tryouts for the Nashville Catholic Softball team have been canceled due to lack of interest.  I will try again in January or February to see if we can form a team for the Spring. If you would like to be added to the email list, please email nashville.catholic.softball.team@gmail.com.

**If there is inclement weather, the rainout date will be November 5th at Father Ryan's softball field starting at 4pm.
